Why Everyone Needs a Coach

Let’s face it – most of us are creatures of habit whether those are good habits or bad habits.  Change is really hard. The fact is that we will go to extreme measures to avoid pain because what we really crave is pleasure.  Who doesn’t want to feel good? Isn’t that what life is all about: Feeling Good! Most of the time it really comes down to how you look at something.  If you view something that you really want as being nearly impossible to achieve, you are going to link pain toward achieving it.  Now you are dead in your tracks before you even start.  Conversely, if you can picture the end result in teh beginning you can instantly be able to associate pleasure toward attaining your goal.  

Picture how you will feel when you have attained that goal.  Get that feeling in your body right now.  I find the biggest mistake people make comes dow to procrastination.

Do you find yourself saying something like: “I will do that tomorrow” or “I will start my diet on Monday” or “Tomorrow I will stop hitting the snooze button and get my butt out of bed to workout.” 

 

Guess What:  Tomorrow never comes because all we really have is right now! 

 

How can you stop procrastination in its tracks? 

Well, you can do what I do.  Get a Coach and a MAP.  No, I’m not talking about the map that takes you to Grandma’s house at Christmas.  What I am talking about is a Massive Action Plan.  Find someone who has what you want.  Find someone who has already achieved what you really want so desperately to achieve.  This person can shorten the learning curve and teach you exactly what you need to do to achieve your goals once and for all.

The fact of the matter is we are all really good at some things, but there are other things in life we want to be good at but we have no idea how to achieve it on our own. 

 

Growing up I played a lot of sports.  In fact, I played year round sports including volleyball,basketball and track.  I have had a lot of coaches.  These coaches taught me all the fundamental skills I needed to be really good.  My passion right now is tennis.  Gueses what? I have a tennis coach!

Accountability, consistent instruction and reinforcement, support, progress, achievement of success with a specific goal.
